Great game for Rejects who run their record to 5 - 4 in a dogfight for a playoff spot among four teams (including Gary's Old Time Tavern) who began the day with identical records of 4 - 4. Pat continues to lead Rejects in hitting average and starts the game with a sharp single ground ball to 3rd base... but rolls over his ankle at 2nd base on subsequent single, and spends the rest of the game on the bench wrapped in ice. Sean takes over in RCF. Sara plays a terrific 2nd base in the absence of Darlene. Eric demonstrates "gazelle-like" moves of yesteryear in left field. Mikey starts and plays 4 solid innings at 1st base before yielding to Glen. Carmen halls-in 3 line-drives in left-center. Irene and Gus TCB on the left side of the infield. Wilbur walks one batter but pitches well w/o his good stuff. Timely hitting all around see our Rejects score at least one run in 5 of 7 innings.
